8 is Great!!

Travis is 8 years old today!

I am so proud to be your mom! Travis you have always been such a caring and loving boy right from the start. You have been through more than any eight year old should ever have to go through with the loss of your siblings and having to watch me go through all of it as well. With all of that I know I could have been a better mom, but there is no way you could have been a better son!! You are the best!! I love you soooo much.

Wall Art!

I just got these ordered for Scottie's room!! They are going to be so cute on her wall in 10x20's.  I'm so excited to start making the transition from nursery to big girl room!

Birthday, Barf and Zions

Saturday was Zake's 1st birthday!! The kids and I went and watched the little guy tear into his cake. I cant believe it has been a year already wow! After the party we went and picked up Ashlee and the kids so we could go visit Jenny, Sloane, Mason and Mekenzie in Zions. Unfortunately when we hit Virgin Scotlynn started puking everywhere. I thought maybe she was just car sick and decided to chug on forward but the puke just kept coming. We did get the Weeping Rock hike in, just had to stop about every 15 minutes so Scottie could dry heave.  We decided we didn't want to stay and infect Jenny's family while on vacation so we all loaded back on the tram toward the visitors center when Travis told me he was going to puke! Thank god, he made it off the tram before he threw everything in his stomach up. Dealing with puking kids all night has not made for a very happy mom today, but knock on wood I think the worst is over. Thank you Ashlee for all your help yesterday I really don't think I would have made it home had you not been with me! Through all of that I did manage to take some pretty cute pictures of our Weeping/puking Rock experience! 

 

You can tell in some of the pictures that Scotlynn was pale as a ghost but I have to say she was a trooper! She never made a peep she walked the whole trail stopping to puke and then she would grab my hand and say "come on mommy, come on"!

I spoke too soon as I was uploading pictures Scotlynn started to throw up again ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

*Wow I must have been really tired when I wrote this the first time. I just read it for the first time and I cant spell for shit or puke!

Vegas day 1/ cheer comp

We did get to see Kassi do her thing and I must say she is AMAZING!! I'm not sure how Michele can watch her fly through the air and not have a panic attack. I guess she knows she is in good hands. On the way into the competition we had to walk through The Venetian and they had these umbrellas that make me happy!!

Flyer's got FIRST in their division!!

Scotlynn had so much fun watching the cheers she was dancing and loving her aunt Michele by the end she fell asleep while sitting up!

Conversations with Scotlynn

While Scottie was on the potty

Scottie:"Mom, I want a bath tub"

Me:"you want to take a bath?"

Scottie:"yeshhh"

Me:"go pee pee and you can take a bath"

she does her business and I put her in the bath tub when I realize I have some business I have to do (just # 1) Finish my business and flush the toilet

Scottie:"Good job mommy, pee pee on the potty!"

she says with a she is really proud of me look on her face.

I am so glad that the little things we do can make us so proud of each other!!!

Vegas day 1/ Shark Reef

We missed the girls first cheer and had some time to kill before the second so we headed over to Mandalay Bay and visited Shark Reef! The kids had a blast, Travis was pulling me in every direction to look at all the cool fish and sea life and Scotlynn was in complete awe. So fun to be able to have some family time to make memories with our kids, I was in heaven!

After we went back to the room to get some sun with Michele and the girls!!
